The band members in OPEN>Sunday wants to Thank You, the 240+ friends for participating in our most recent Duck Room experience, from last Saturday night. You were kind enough to share your evening with us at Blueberry Hill and with the help of Lost-in-Blue and Dave Kalz & the Impala Deluxe, this show turned out to be our most supported show at the Duck Room to date.
We did our best to promote a sell out and with pride I can say that we're getting closer to the mark. Our friends, old and new continue to support the original music scene, and if I may be specific, the support is coming in more ways than expected. Please let me explain.
Two shows ago an old friend of ours brought out an associate from work that is 90% deaf. We thought then that it was rather odd but we did our best to show our appreciation for his support. Last Saturday night, there he was again, and with 11 of his friends (all hearing imparted) whom came and stayed for all three bands. Bart Berry and I spent time with these new friends and found out that what they liked best was the show, the show that we put up on stage. They said that they can feel the beat and that they enjoy putting the stage show together with what they are feeling. Many of them said that they wanted to come back and see us again soon. So we were left with this positive impression that OPEN>Sunday is reaching people in ways that we never imagined.
Spirit with Vision, is a Dream with a Mission.
Wishing for a snow day,
If you've ever been out to see us play, or have been wanting and waiting for the right time. This is it!!
The Management and Blueberry Hill(the Duck Room) has past on to us one of the bestest most neato weekend gig opportunities of the year. They have extended us the New Years Weekend Saturday night, which is on Jan. 3rd.
Please please please come out and help us make this night a sellout. We have come very close in recent months to making this happen and this time, with your help, could be the one. It would be our first one ever and geemonees, everyone in the band is doing there level best to make you feel welcome. Somewhere in our history we would hope to be able to say that we have played to a sell out crowd. And we have come so close... The truth is, only our friends can make that happen.
So we'll try to make the mood right.
We'll play until its Mid-Night.
With wine and drinks by candle light.
We're gonna fight the good fight.
We are handing out free Nike golf tees to the first 100 in the door. Free OPEN>Sunday CD's will also be available. Per your request, more tables and chairs will be brought in. Pauly Boom Boom will be MC'n the night. And last but not least, I promise not to ware my white hush puppy shoes on stage this time.
Lost-in Blue will be opening the show at 9:00 and are real excited about being back on stage at the Duck Room.
OPEN>Sunday will be playing two set of original music starting at 10:00.
So please come out and Share in the excitement of being a part of a positive movement, like the one we have before us. Feel welcome to experience this Central West End musical expression, again with OPEN>Sunday, at Blueberry Hill, on Jan. 3rd.
